How the Children's Trainer Works
The same proven air-bladder mechanism as the adult trainers: sized and adapted for children ages 5–11, and built to follow AHA, ARC, and ERC guidelines.

Deliver Back Blows
Use the included back slap pad to practise correct force and hand placement for back blows — safely, without risk.

Perform Abdominal Thrust
Apply inward-and-upward pressure between the navel and ribcage. The internal air bladder activates when technique is correct.

Unlike the adult Blue Trainer, the Children's Yellow Trainer includes an attachable Back Slap Pad and support plate, allowing students to practise both back blows and abdominal thrusts, per AHA, ARC, and ERC guidelines. No separate purchase required.
Materials & Care
Made from high-quality neoprene — the same material used in premium wetsuits. To clean: remove the PVC bladder and airway assembly, then hand-wash the neoprene vest with mild detergent. Hang to air dry.

Absolutely! It's designed specifically for children ages 5–11. There are documented cases of children as young as five successfully performing the abdominal thrust maneuver on the trainer. Adults can also use the trainer to demonstrate technique. All practice is supervised and completely safe.

The Yellow Trainer is sized and designed for children ages 5–11. Its adjustable shoulder and waist straps mean it can accommodate a wide range of body sizes within that age group. For adult practice, see our Blue or Red Trainer.

Yes. Unlike the adult Blue Trainer, the Children's Yellow Trainer includes an attachable Back Slap Pad and support plate. This allows students to practise both back blows and abdominal thrusts in a single session, following AHA, ARC, IRC, and ERC guidelines.

The Children's Yellow Trainer is designed to follow AHA (American Heart Association), ARC (American Red Cross), IRC (Irish Red Cross), and ERC (European Resuscitation Council) guidelines for choking rescue in school-age children.

The trainer includes an Instructor User Manual. The full Choking Prevention and First Aid for School Age Children guide by Ted T.
